James Takes Over The Championship Lead!
After what turned into a wild main event in Seattle, James regained the championship points lead on Saturday night with just two more rounds of action to go! Though feeling comfortable and riding well all day, the main started out less than ideal, as James got pinched out hard on his way down the start straightaway. Exiting turn one way back in the 18th spot, James no doubt had his work cut out for him, but with valuable championship points on the line, he put his head down and mounted an impressive charge through the pack. After working his way into the second spot on lap 16, James set his sites on leader Villopoto, but the Kawi pilot was too far out front at that point to catch. With championship rival Reed finishing the night in seventh, James left Seattle with a three-point lead in the series!
“I don’t know what happened… We all almost went down on the start,” James said after the race. “I was so far in the back and saw Ryan [Villopoto] and Mike [Alessi] way out front, and knew it was going to be tough to get up there. It’s all about the championship, though, and tonight was great for that. The way Chad has been riding all year, it was definitely surprising to see how things played out.”
Stay tuned for a full race recap from Salt Lake City next weekend!

The past two races have shown me that James Stewart will win but not based solely on his riding. In Jacksonville, a yamaha teamate pushes Reed into another rider on the start straight causing Reed to crash and finish way back in the race.
Again in Salt Lake City, his teamate tries to T-bone Reed in a corner giving the race to Stewart. This is horseshit. Stewart wants to win so bad and gain fan support but he’s an asshole on the track. The announcers dwell way to much on him because he is black. It’s rediculous.
I’d like to see Stewart win without yamaha and san manuel teamates giving him the edge. Seems he can’t beat Reed without riding past his limits so that would be an interesting race.
All you have to do is finish ahead of him….ride smart because this weekend could be somewhat equalized by the weather. You have recovered from points deficits twice this year, posted ten wins in the process, have been riding awesome, and stayed away from the controversy and crap talk…. and for all those reasons, no one deserves the title more. Be aware of every possible scenario for the race this weekend and no matter what, make sure it goes to Vegas. Carry on James!!!
NICE RACE!! ur the best……….
James!! The last race really showed your maturity this year. Instead of pushing hard to catch RV2 and risk crashing, you settled in for 2nd and the points lead. Chad’s rattled!! You need to do what you’ve got to do to claim that prize, blood. Remember !! THE TOP SPOT IS THE ONLY SPOT, THE JACKPOT IS THE ONLY POT.
Hi I just wanted to say that you are the most exciting and nerve wracking rider I have ever watched lol. I drove all the way from vermont to michigan to watch you race red bud a few years back and really hope you make to the nationals this year. I know it would be more exciting for the rest of the riders but you are the best even though people think you are inconsistant. I guess it’s a good thing for the rest but I would like to see you win everything and good luck breaking the kings record hope you achieve it.
Muahhh ha ha ha dude that save was so sick you deserve an award for the best save in a heat race!!!
It’s in the bag just watch for the moves, keep a lil gap #1 shirts all around…

Your the man!! Only 2 more to go. Its nice to see how you have such a great attitude and respect Chad Reed when he goes on tv and trash talks about you. That just goes to show who is the better man and who the real champ is! Im pulling for you all the way. Keep up the great work.
Great race James.
Glad you kept it on two wheels after casing that rhythm section…Finish strong and get
that #1 plate.
Sweet my boy, u got this now so just go out there and smoke them all. The thing that I am really mad about is that the best rider to ever ride a bike is not riding outdoors. That sucks… I think u owe it 2all of us after this sx cham 2come out 2 the outdoors. The world wants 2see that big #1plate. What is USA mx coming 2? U know I love ya man… I am ya #1Fan!
What I am saying is I don’t want anyone else 2 have that #1plate. I hope I am speaking for all of your other #1 fans out there! Hope u come out … stay safe myboy … its ya boy dice78 from N.Y.
James great ride, you did the smart thing by taken 2nd even though I no you could have caught up,good job James, cant wate to see u with the #1 plate this year, you have worked more than hard for it,God bless u and your family as well Sean Hackley
Nice racing! Before the race started, I thought, “I wonder what would happen if Reed fell?” I didn’t expect you both to occupy two of the bottom three positions after the start. But you really rocked it. He doesn’t have it like you do. You deserve to win the championship as you are the fastest rider… hands down. You’re a blast to watch. Best wishes!
Way to go buddy

you was crazy happy yesterday when you took the points lead. i actually watch the race today on abc, and you played it smart. soon as you hit second you rode a nice safe and steady pace, instead of getting greedy trying to take the whole race.. congrats on your points lead, and keep up the awesome work..
