Hey, nothing happened, that’s all (says Larry) Well, something happened, Supercross has NEVER (until now) required anybody to be black flagged. Then there’s the video they showed on Speed of Salt Lake with Kyle looking directly at Chad before the block and attempted T-bone. Groucho said it best Larry….. “Who are you going to believe, me or your eyes?” Uh, my eyes amigo. Hollow victory thanks to Kyle’s ignorance.
Don’t worry man…you got it…breathe ..I play metal music and dig motocross just as much. Every week my favorite thing to watch is the all time shredder of MX 7..to MX1….I raise my glass to you…Nothing but fear it self will stop you…look to the sky and good luck bro.If you ever need music for your kicking riding videos let me know.
Hi,
Feld Motor Sports announced today that Utah Governor Jon Huntsman will speak at a press conference Thursday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. to welcome back Monster Energy® Supercross, an FIM World Championship, to Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium for the first time since 2004. The Salt Lake City race will take place Saturday, featuring the AMA Supercross class title chase between James Stewart and Chad Reed and the final race of the Western Regional AMA Supercross Lites class championship between front runners Ryan Dungey and Jake Weimer.
Regardless of the alleged bump by Chisholm, Reed is the dirtiest rider right now. It’s been seen week after week, where you can see Reed several times try to bump James off the track. What’s really important, is that JS7 watches out this coming Saturday for a full on attack and any attempt by Reed to ruin JS7’s victory. Reed can not go head to head with a clean race with Stewart to save his life. James has more talent then any rider out there and he will have several more championships in his future.
How do you get that CR is the dirtiest rider? A1 was James so I dont know how you think that James hittng neutral has something to do with CR. Plus, James started the dirty riding in Jacksonville. I’m not sure what races you all have been watching but if you would please tell me what channel I would love to watch it next season. Hope #800 puts your boy in the first row and then I guess the season would end even on the dirty riding.
Dude, what the crap r u talking about. James has one 100% of all the races he has not crashed in. U simply cannot call that anything short of extraordinary! U rock, js7! Keep it up man ur my inspiration.
Okay…lets just leave it at this, since we will never know the truth about what happened. We now go to Vegas…if JS7 can just walk away with win number 12, then all the ‘HATERS’ out there can stick a sock in it!!! I have been a fan for years and Stewart has always been faster and probably always will be. “Poor Sport” Reed is a great rider and has raised his game and will again, but you can bet your ass JS7 will just raise his one more knotch as well.
Go back and look at 2007 in the Indianapolis race when JS7 came out last on turn one and Reed was out front with clear track and Stewart passed him on lap 17. Or the countless other times this season when JS7 started between 4th and 7th and passed Reed for the win. Or my hometown race (San Diego) where they started 1-2 for the first time this season and by the end JS7 won by over 12 seconds. Stewart is the best in Supercross, no doubt, and will be champion again after he puts it down one last time for 2009 in Las Vegas.
Good Luck James…Finish it, Boy!!!! then work on 73 wins!!!
Hey James I just want you to know the you are the best in the bussines and what happend on saturday on the race, everyone knows including reed that it wasn’t your fault and everyone knows that you don’t need any help from anyone to win, reed know that he can’t beat you unless you crash and the only reason he is a champion now is cuz you were injured last season and now if he losses is gonna be saying that it was because of that incident in Utah. And also everyone knows that move that he did on you it wasnt clean but you didn’t bitch about it he knows that he can’t beat you, he has to follow your lines so he can cut time but that still not good enough for him cuz your faster than anyone on the track. I hope he doesn’t star talking shit about that incident, he is lucky that Carmichael is not racing anymore otherwise he wouldn’t be on the place that he is know he would be on 3rd. And last but not least we know that you can beat reed even if your in a 250 and he on a 450 ok thats all we wish you the best in vegas.
Whomever owns the Stewart/Chislom Supercross team are a bunch of losers who apparently like to cheat for the sake of cheating.
I must admit that James Stewart ran a good race and I was impressed when the passed Reed cleanly after Reed tried to take out twice. Good job Stewart, shows a lot of character on your part.
Chislom is another story. He was a lapper and should have never put himself in the position to cause a problem. I contend Chislom’s actions are very unlikely to have been an accident. Thus, I contend that Chislom is not a very honorable person. I hope you are proud Yamaha to have such people riding your machines.
The person I feel most sorry for is James Steward. He likely would have won this series without Chislom’s cheating. However, now, instead of a clean win, Steward will be reasonably considered a mere recipient of a dishonorable gift form an ethically challenged teammate. You go Chislom! Have you stolen any money from your mother lately?
what r u talking about dude u think that was team work.js7 needs no help from chislom in that way. chislom almost take js7 out 2.js7 needs 2 stop playing and giving reed fans a good show and just go back 2 kicking ass by 10sec then u guys will not have shit 2 say
I also have another take. Idk for what reason he would have wanted to but let’s assume it’s a possibility that chisolm was trying to make the on-off section… That could have led to his excessive speed and lack of experience could have lead to the poor reasoning and judgement that caused him to do that particular section. Let’s keep in mind that all of this is simply after-the-fact speculation… Way to go on the win James! U rock!!
reed has no class he says allesi will take you out with out asking him first. i dont think hes that stupid my son 10 years old and i will be pulling for you good luck i dont think you need luck the way your riding your he best
James,
Awesome race on Saturday. You took control of the series, and you have nothing to apologize for.
You won’t remember me, but as you were exiting the pits, and entering the track (for the pre-practice “walk around”) you were walking into the stadium with your “game face” on 100%.
You looked over at me, and there I was, smiling and giving you a “thumbs up”. Seeing that, you gave me a huge smile back, and into the stadium you went.
I had my opportunity to say something to you, but I missed it.
James,
As much as I hate the phrase, YOU have taken motocross (and specifically supercross) to a new level. You bring more speed and VISION than we have ever seen before, and that brings with it inherent risks. Your “haters” say you take too many risks, but if you backed it down half of one iota, then they would call you “complacent” and not willing to work for “it”. Either way, they are gonna keep on “hatin’”, and it has NOTHING to do with you, it has EVERYTHING to do with them.
Keep on smiling, James. That smile that you flashed me is 100% REAL. You are a good kid who is doing some AMAZING stuff, and that causes some negative people to come out of the woodwork. DO NOT PAY THEM ANY ATTENTION. Keep on doing what you are doing, and KEEP ON SMILING.
Good luck at Vegas James. There is gonna be a lot of celebrating when you take home the Championship.
Great Racing James!! Have lots of respect for you compared to reed. It’s sad to see a guy get frustrated and have to ride dirty and make threats to win a championship. But it’s even better to see you beat him straight up week after week. Best of luck in Vegas, i will be there cheering you on.
Kyle’s little brush had nothing to do with the end result. Why are other riders called teamates if they can’t be a real team. What I mean is that if you are on a team you try to help your team. If Kyle wanted to take reed out he would have he is a professional not an amatuer. Doesn’t other types of racing have team tactics in them. I am also sick of hearing the anouncers and other people act as if it is a two man race, if I am not mistaken it is a twenty rider race. They act as if everyone should lie down when Stewart and crybaby reed get out front. I have yet to hear James complain about other riders, maybe its because he understands its all apart of racing.
I must say that coming into this season I had nothing but great things to say about James and his family to anyone that would listen. I have meet (and parked next to) them when he was a kid on little bikes and have always liked and respected them all.
Rubbing is racing and both Reed and Stewart have done their share to each other this year. James crossed in front of Chad in the first race causing both to crash but that is just how things go.
I have very little good to say about James or his team. Mostly due to his attitude and not his riding.
I do not ever want to see him or anyone else get hurt by someones stupid actions and James needs to step up and realize what happened. Maybe he will be a man and make his team mate and team owners apologize. Just like in any sport, they are a team and the whole team should suffer the penalty.
“James crossed in front of Chad in the first race causing both to crash but that is just how things go. ” - Andy
It’s hard intentionally cross in front of someone when your bikes is in neutral. It looked like Reed ran into the back of Stewart at A1 as he has done several times over the years. Riding Stewart’s back wheel appears to be Reed’s secret weapon that he’s always talking about.
Anyway you don’t see Stewart crying about it. Stewart just put his head down and charged to get back into contention. I can’t remember any title contender ever recovering that many points that quickly. If Stewart goes on to win the Championship that is the story of the season. The squirrelly inconsequential brush that Chisolm put on Reed will only fester in the minds of detractors like yourself. Andy, you reveal yourself for what you are. James hasn’t demonstrated any “attitude” towards anyone this year.
The only person who can comment on what his intentions were, is Kyle Chisholm himself.
We can all speculate on what were his intentions, but how many times have you been riding and something happens unexpectedly and the next thing you know you are on the ground or bouncing off of another rider. It’s part of riding and it’s definitely part of racing, just ask Bailey, Fonseca, Magoo and recently Dostal. Even the best riders on the planet have miscues or momentary lapses. At this years Daytona Supercross, I was on the track, about 20 feet away from the carnage that took place in the first turn of the SX class. I think James was as surprised as the fans were that he miscalculated and crashed out. It happens
I’m not one for excuses, so I’m not trying to make or find one for Chisholm, but until he comments on it, the public at large will only be voicing speculations, not fact. Basically being arm chair quarterbacks. If in fact KC did intentionally attempt to slow Chad down or take him out, then the AMA was correct in disqualifying him.
And while I am a fan of Chad Reeds riding ability, I am totally disappointed in the way he makes excuses for his losses. Just listen to him the next time he is being interviewed. I have little respect for a rider who makes even the slightest excuses for not doing as well as he would have liked. If you do not feel that you are up to the task, then don’t take a gate on the starting line.
During the 2000 outdoor nationals, Stephane Roncada and Travis Pastrana had a battle that lasted all the way to the Binghamton round, where Travis was awarded the championship.
During that season both riders would suffer injuries, at one event, where I interviewed Travis after the awards ceremony, I asked him if the ankle injury he was riding with was the reason he had not done so well at this event. Travis responded by saying ” I can’t blame my ankle, if I was well enough to go to the line, then I cannot make any excuses.” He then limped over to a table and began signing autographs, even though he was clearly in pain. At the time he was 16 years old. I don’t know about you, but I’ll always respect a great rider who makes no excuses, then a great rider who is full of excuses and complaints.
Sup my boy … sweet win. Now, Reed, you and your fans know, js7 only wants 2 give SJC a good show, thats why js7 stayed with Reed. Cause that was fun for js7, he wants 2 give the Reed fans some hope that maybe he has a shot. If u guys think js7 knows about that shit with js7 team mate he dosen’t … so next week we just going 2 go out and win by 10sec or more 2
keep reed and his fans mouth shut … and who else thinks he can beat js7 cause no1 can beat him … and about Alessi, js7 dont care about him, he cant even make the main … lol … so js7 stay healthy and safe its yaboy dice78 from N.Y.
one more to go before your officially the champ. Of course every tom, dick and harry will be looking for the clean-out manuever at vegas so just avoid those ass clowns by being in front with a 15 second lead. hahahaha
good luck,,,it’s yours now…reed can’t handle the stress…and alessi is to slow to crash you out.
he wouldn’t want to risk his outdoor chances by being suspended anyway.
One of the best races of the year! Reed is 1 of the best and had a chance to beat stewart because he was in the LEAD! He cannot beat KING JAMES in a solid 20 lap race and makes every excuse when he loses.
In addition, Reed goes on to threaten to use Allesi to cause trouble at the start of the final race. I believe that most people are not buying this pity party Reed is promoting because he still coming up short on talent when compared to Bubba.
All of this Hoopla because Reed can’t win or defend a championship against a healthy James Stewart! Bubba don’t let the mind games that this “not ready for prime time guy plays! Just continue to kick his complaining butt.
With all of the time I have spent in and around this sport I find it extremely hard to believe that what happened at the Salt Lake race was not planned. There is absolutely no other explanation for it.
We had a heads up race with no clear winner until your team mate t’ed Reed. While we will never know the truth about it all you are the one that has to deal with it. If you do not crash out and happen to win the championship you will have won it with the help of others and not on your own.
Did you see Reed almost take Stewart out(lap 8)? Why is that ok, and what Stewarts teammate did not ok? Look, I’m not saying that it is ok to start taking people out, but if it is in retaliation that is different. In my mind things worked out fairly, Reed tryed to take Stewart out, then someone tryed to take Reed out. No one really got dropped to the ground and both were still on 2 wheels to finish the race and the fastest man won.
Stewart looks the cleanest of all, at no time did he try to take anyone out!
What abot Reeds comment the other week after he claimed dirty racing by Stewart. Something like”If I would race that way my father would kick my butt”. Well is his father kicking his butt this week after lap 8 of Salt Lake?
Why is that different??? Um, that is different because Chad was the leader on a lead lap. Not a lapper given the flag to stay out of the way. Thus, why CR wouldn’t have gotten a black flag. There is a difference in racing hard to win and breaking the rules to help your boss. Besides, JS started it in Jacksonville and if CR sat back and let him do it again he would be an idiot.
And James multitude of wins prior to SLC have nothing to do with his winning. Chad only wins if Bubba doesn’t stay on two wheels. Chad is a whiner and so are you!
WOW!! I cannot believe all the Reed fans grasping for any mistake by anyone, just to have another excuse for their man finishing second to Stewart again. I tivo’d the race and watched it several times. Chisolm was a wildman last Saturday, he almost took Stewart out in the heat race. If Chisolm was looking to take Reed out, why didn’t he finish the job? He could have put him over the tough blocks in that corner, he let up, Reed was by him without losing much time at all.
As in previous races when Reed actually was able to hang with Bubba for awhile, that was all it was for, awhile. For anyone to doubt the outcome of the race, they have not been paying attention all season. Get over it Reed fans…great race Bubba!
“We had a heads up race with no clear winner…” - Andy
Didn’t you hear? Stewart won the race. It’s was Stewart’s 11th win this season out of 16 races so far.
This is rich. We’re now supposed to listen to the notion that Chisolm suirrelling into Reed, which didn’t knock Reed down or even prevent him from doing the next obstacle, is the sole reason for Reed’s present 6 point deficit. As of yet I’ve never seen Reed actually pass Stewart for a win ever. Well it’s bound to happen eventually.
I suggest heroic stoicism would be a better approach for the Reed fan. At least it would be easier on everyone else’s ears.
I was at the Salt Lake City race and I love watching Supercross. I am a fan of both Reed and Stewart and many others as I think they have great skills and heart. Reed is a champ and if he doesn’t pull it out this year, there’s always next and he also has past championships which mean alot. I have been surfing the net and watching videos of Bubba talking about his racing, SLC, Vegas, and Reed. I just have to say I’m impressed. The interviews I’ve seen show JS as a confident yet not cocky racer. Go to amasupercross.com and listen to his interview. He never puts down Reed and doesn’t use excuses when he doesn’t win. My son is a huge fan of JS and I’m a mom who is proud to have him look up to JS. I don’t think Chislom’s “block” had much to do with Reed losing in SLC. Reed just looked beat and like he didn’t have it in him to push through and win. And I agree that on lap 8, Reed did the same thing to Bubba. JS just seems to have it all to pull through at the end, bottom line… endurance and patience. JS heat race just shows what a great racer he is, waiting for the right time. I love Supercross. There is always going to be some questionable passes and cut offs but that’s part of racing. Congrats to Reed and Stewart. In my mind they both are great racers and good examples for the youth out there looking up to them.

Hi,
Feld Motor Sports announced today that Utah Governor Jon Huntsman will speak at a press conference Thursday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. to welcome back Monster Energy® Supercross, an FIM World Championship, to Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium for the first time since 2004.
Is that what you want?
Chad is a whiner and so are you!
yea we know then rv wins
