I was at the gate (as usual) and I gotta say you seemed a little nervous, what was up with the boot? you came off the start line and took off your boot??? was it nerves ha ha haaaa J/K dude.
Reedy was huntin you down but you kept calm and played it straight, that little bump in the sweeper was dirty but not what you and I were expecting… we were looking for a way more drastic move but you kept your cool and put RV out far enough so Reed could never catch him the looked to let him make his move NICE JOB!!!!

You are the Man !! I was hoping you would have checked out in the race and really showed Chad something, but you won nevertheless.. I think in the outdoor season, Ryan will for sure be a force to reckon with and even though you will not be racing, it will still be worth it just to see Chad get beat by Ryan..
Stick to what you do best ( Supercross ) and blow our minds next year.

You are a champion! You have earned this championship just like every other one. You won because you have the talent,desire and heart and your willing to put the time into being a champion. It would be great to see you race the Nationals, but the way I look at it, You dont have to prove anything to anyone,You won every single moto last year…thats huge .You have showed everyone that you are not only a true Champion but a good person and a great role model that does not make excuses for when things go badly, you have shown that you are a real man by being humble and not being afraid to admit that you had a off race. You drew strength from those races and put your head down and won. Im 45, I grew up admiring riders like Joel Robert,Roger de Coster, Bob Hannah , Marty Smith , RJ , MC and RC and your right there at the tip of the list.
I wont lie, it would be great to see you race the Nationals, but in the end weather you decide to race them or not your a Champion and you dont have to prove anything to anyone.You’ve earned it!

I know you have raced your entire life and deserve a breather, but the outdoors will seem like a ghostown without you or RC this year. Hope you change your mind for what is still the backbone of our sport. The Nationals still hold the true bragging rights!!!!! Not that you have anything left to brag about.

I have been a fan since the beginning of last year when you had that incredible race with reed at pheniox before you got hurt. It mad me so angry to see reed win the championship the way he did. he cant win a championship unless your hurt. when i went and saw the race in SF when you took that yamaha to a 10 second victory over reed i knew that this was your year. best of all you beat chad on his old team. Outdoors would be great to see you race because i will be at the race in hangtown. I would like to see that san manuel yamaha supporting the red number 1 plate.
you have to race outdoors. ryan villapoto is going to be hard to beat and so is alessi if he can stay healthy. you have to go show them how a real rider races.

This was my first real season as a supercross fan. I’ve know about the kid who wins almost every face in the neon Fox gear and funky colored outfits, but I never knew the man behind them. As a newcommer to the sport, it was inspiring to learn that the road to the championships was never easy for you or your family. That e:60 special was terrific. You’ve deserved every bit of it along the way, and embodied the definition of a true champion on and off the dirt.
The sport needs more athletes like yourself.

You have to ride the outdoors….!!!! If you ask me…I believe the outdoors is more your cup of tea!! Supercross is good…but it’s nothing like the outdoors!! I really hope you change your mind!! I really don’t want to watch Reed race them without you!! You know you could SMOKE him outside!!!

James, you have arrived both mentally and physically. I brought my 4 year old son to watch you in S.F. All this kid has talked about is Dad I want a blue bike with the #1 plate on it. I tell him on a regular that no one is ever going to give you #1, you have to want it and do the things necessary to acheive that #1 plate.
As I sat in the stands in L.V., my wife and I were surprised both at how many fans loved you and how many fans that just could not see past your skin color. I sat their with tears in my eyes as you crossed the finish line, thanking God forgiving me the opportunity to see the 1st African American to win a world championship in motorsports for the second time.
You are the best! If you do not ride outdoors good, rest your body, you have had a tough season.
On the other hand you should stick it too Reed. Help him retire, show him that no matter what he will from this point forward be starring at your ASS from a distance…..
