Pretty good post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you post again soon. Thanks!
This is often a very smart browse on behalf of me, Should admit that you are one in every of the best bloggers I ever saw. Thanks for posting this informative article.
I was searching on bing when I found your site. So much of what you say is true. I got alot from this post, I’m going to add your rss feed to my Google reader. Thanks!
Hey James. My name is Ziggy Greenwood and I grew up with motocross in the 70’s and 80’s.My stepfather raced professionally on the CZ factory team in the late 60’s against DeCoster,Lackey,Destefano(I think they were team mates),etc.A bad crash ended his carrer(and almost his life)in the early 70’s but he didn’t stop racing. He designed , and raced, 2 bikes of his own with aluminum swing arms(a 250cc and a 400cc) and air shocks, power bands that looped out anybody who tried to ride them,2 years before any major company did.I remember how he used to talk to his friends about how he made the bikes so that you had to ride them a certain way.Everybody thought he was just a nut ,but he was the only one who knew how to ride those bikes. He would tell me that to be fast you had to ride right on the edge of control.I know there have been a lot of great racers since the 70’s ,but I have not seen anybody ride the way he used, except you.The way you ride is the way he said motocross bikes are supposed to be ridden. You are an amazing talent James. You are the fastest man alive on a motocross bike. You have nothing to prove man.All these young riders are still trying to ride your race, but it’s YOUR race they are trying to ride. This is your time man.Just keep your head, ride smart, and what ever you want to accomplish in this sport you will.Besides all that I just really enjoy watching you ride.It inspires me to play guitar better (I haven’t ridden a bike in years, lol!!!!!!!!).
Sorry I missed your earlier post. I have to go back and spend some time sorting it all out. I still haven’t quite figured this internet thing out especially the rss thing to follow the post and comments. Guess it’s back to research mode and learn haha
I was scanning something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your position on it is diametrically opposed to what I read to begin with. I am still contemplating over the different points of view, but I’m tipped heavily toward yours. And irrespective, that’s what is so good about modernized democracy and the marketplace of thoughts online.
I love wagering on NFL. The bad part is that I’ve lost about $ five this month. I think the most enjoyable part is doing the research and using research to find holes in the odds.
I think Villopoto will take the wind out of James’ sail. No doubt, James is one of the fastest riders on the planet. Either way, I can’t wait to see him and Villopoto race together…outdoors! Outdoor motocross is what separates the men from the babies. Don’t be a baby in 2010 James! Race outdoors and beat Villopoto! I bet you can’t
Years ago, Bob Hanna was considered the greatest rider, and won a Supercross championship on a “STOCK” bike against factory prototypes that were far removed from production bikes. At the end of each race, they gave away the bike. That sold a lot of Yamaha MonoShocks and made it clear just how good the Yamaha was.
Now, it wasn’t stock, as in “off the showroom floor” stock. They took a stock bike and put better forks, shock, wheels and bars on it. At the end of the race, they put the stock stuff back on and gave it to the lucky person who won it.
James, might you have an interest in this? If you decide to run a few outdoor events this year, you might do this same trick and give the other guys a chance. If nothing else, the publicity would be great.

hey wats up i think you are the sweetest guy on a dirtbike and i want to see you in motocross this year cause i havent seen you race yet and i dont want to see mike allesi pull away to far i want to see you out there so i hope you start racing pretty soon here
Hi James,
As your number one fan, I think the SM team is thinking more about their SX record then about your SX/MX legacy. I want you to surpass RC in the overall wins column. Outdoors is the only way to rack in those numbers. I sure miss watching you race MX this year. I had no idea you weren’t showing up at Glenn Helen till I got there. Don’t let your fans down by not getting those wins that will prove who is the greatest dirtbiker riding. I begging.
Sorry fans, but James isn’t going to surpass RC or MC for total wins. Do you realize how many supercross mains Jeremy has won versus James, along with the Supercross championships? Sorry James, but you don’t have the time or defense mechanism to challenge that.
What r u talking about LOKEDAWG? JS7 is 23 years old, he needs 3 more years in SX and 10 wins for each season! We all know he can do that!! About the overall … I don’t know cause he’s not doing MX now!!!
Exactly….just agree wtih me, it will make things a lot easier. James is super fast, no doubting that, but he WILL be challenged more by RV, Reed, Alessi, etc. now versus when Ricky and Jeremy were on top. James isn’t going to have that 5-6 year #1 crown like the GOAT or MC. Mark my words, James will win more races and championships, but he is going to lose some as well to the newcomers.!
Sorry fans, but James isn’t going to surpass RC or MC for total wins. Do you realize how many supercross mains Jeremy has won versus James, along with the Supercross championships? - LokeDawg
All you have is your own wishful thinking. Stewart is on pace to surpass MC’s SX win total. Barring some bad injury. There is nothing to suggest he will not be capable of double digit SX wins for the next several years. I don’t think that he will surpass MC’s SX Championship total.
Why are you not defending your outdoor championship ???? Something in your contract ?? b/c i notice your teammate isnt out there either man we are missing you and wld love to see a SX champ w/ the outdoor national champ both in your hands !!!
Congrats on kicking our fellow rider’s butt (CHAD REED)
May I suggest something?
Have you considered making a Supercross simulation video game before?
I think that there is a huge market for a game as such for the XBOX & PS3 platforms…
Im sick of THQ and other game companies producing their idea of what a MX/SX game should be….
All of them have been shit house !!!!!!
Anyway, I think if you got on board with EA Sports then for 1st time in history we the fans of this fantastic sport called AMA Supercross/Motocross could enjoy playing the Simulation on our game consols (XBOX & PS3).
Much like EA Sports has been doing with NFL and Maden FootBall Games, there faltless with yearly updates and real teams, stadiums, comentry and game play…
I think that this would sell quite well in both the states and in Australia and even the World, as this has’nt been done before.
You could be the 1st pro too make his own Simulation with all the wright teams, brands, race tracks, bike sound (even when over whoops) and a creator track option,
EA SPORTS Presents ( James Stewart’s AMA Supercross / Motocross 2010 Season ) XBOX / PS3
Good luck in 2010 and come and race the SuperX in Australia soon we would love that Mate !!!
Please don’t tell me that you are doing a “Supercross Only” contract like McGrath used to and Reed did last year! Have you not thought about providing your fans with an explanation regarding your absence from the Outdoors?
Nice to see Yamaha give you first class treatment. I mean you are the champ. If you remember in vegas, my wife and son made got to the front of the line and you took a picture with my son. She was the hot af. am. lady. You made our weekend special. What’s up with outdoors. Chad is getting his ass handed to him and your not there. Your boy Alessi is giving you major props on t.v. and in person. Keep him tight, he seems very cool. Good luck. Also, start posting you apperances in advance. I was down the street from Yamaha when you were there, missed it. DT
Hi James, This is Bruce From Seattle, your the greatest rider I have ever seen. I have been around motox for 40 years and use to race. I use to scrub jumps to make speed and use front brake in the corners to shave time. Your a great student of mx. Your father also is great mentor . I know how many days months years and money it takes to ride at your level. Blood sweat and tears. You rode with a lot maturity this year and rode smart. Because your the fastest man on the track. You don’t need the holeshot or to ride over your head to win. Just ride smooth and relaxed and you will win every championship.Nobodys as fast as you! P.S. Nice heel clicker in seattle on the last lap of practice. It made a great photo!
that is very awesome of Yamaha to do something of this caliber, not likely with every company! I was wondering if the championship shirts printed by Answer with your face on the front that says “congrats James Stewart” will be available to the public. I love the concept, just like the Obama posters that were printed a few months ago. I would love to purchase one of these if they are available. Any further info about this would be greatly appreciated! Good luck next supercross season, I’m ready to see you take another title!
