I was reading something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your linear perspective on it is diametrically opposed to what I read to begin with. I am still reflecting over the various points of view, but I’m tipped to a great extent toward yours. And irrespective, that’s what is so superb about advanced democracy and the marketplace of ideas on-line.

Saw your story on espn 60. I am a school teacher and I really apreciate(sp, ok I teach math not language arts) the way you represented yourself. I remeber when Tony Dungy was in the superbowl and he said I am proud to be here, but I look forward to the day when an african american coach making it to the super bowl isn’t a story at all. I liked your story about the fan(s) that kept yelling racial stuff at you and you just kept giving him the thumbs up each time passed him. There are two paths to resistance, MLK and Malcom X. Far be it from me to recommond one way or the other but I appreciate the MLK response. My students need real world role models other then rappers that show guns and hoes. ( and that’s regardless of race, ALL of my students need to see postive african american role models) Best of luck to you, keep kicking ass. Your achievements and attitude change the world every day!!
