JAMES BRAVES A THIRD-PLACE FINISH AT A2

After the abuse that James’ body took during last weekend’s crashes in Phoenix, the defending SX champ had an irregular week of preparation for Anaheim 2. With a sore wrist, shoulder, and ankle holding him back, James was unable to ride all week, but showed up in Anaheim to give it his all toward staying in the championship points fight. Despite sitting out of the opening ceremonies to conserve some energy, James braved his way to the line for Supercross heat number one.

When the gates dropped, JS7 found himself chasing Tommy Hahn around the A2 circuit during the majority of lap number one, but threw down a pass just before crossing the finish line double for the first time. From there, Hahn made a pass back on James to reclaim the lead, but Stewart retaliated just a lap later to once again control the pace up front. On lap number six, James’ teammate Josh Hill, who rode incredibly well all night, snuck by to take over the lead. Safely within qualifying position, James followed Hill in for a relatively conservative second place finish.

A good start would be critical to accomplishing James’ goal of finishing on the podium in the A2 main event, and he did just exactly that. After rocketing down the start straight and crossing the holeshot stripe in the second spot, James immediately made a pass for the lead. James would go on to lead the first five laps of the main before giving way to Hill during the sixth go around, and then Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey got by on lap number 12. Despite riding through obvious pain, James held on to finish in a very respectable third place when all was said and done.

Collecting valuable series points, James now heads into another week of rehab on his injuries before lining up in the gate for round number four in San Francisco. “It’s tough,” James commented after the race. “I haven’t ridden all week, and about eight laps into it I just couldn’t hold on anymore. Ryan and Josh were riding really well, and I just didn’t have anything for them. I had sections where I was pretty good, but they were just on it. Congratulations to those guys, and I’ll just try to come back next week and see what happens.”

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case. This is excellent business for them - if they put out money on a formal loan, they wouldn’t make $35 off $2, now would they? The banking industry last year alone made something like $25 billion on overdraft fees at ATMs and checkouts.

Your website likes to remove those comments that attack you and leave those in that attack Reed. That shows what a punk you are. Like I said before, you probably broke your wrist while knocking over Reed’s bike. Someday you will grow up. Your fans like to blame Reed for the crash that happened between you two but when you review the tape, you are seen to grab him and pull him down. Besides the move he put on you, you would have put on him given the opportunity. Your reckless riding has also caused numerous other wrecks and could have injured others whom you could care less of. You will get your’s as you continue with the hazardous riding that you do.

    • creator1 says:

Chad Reed is a dirty rider and you know it he will all ways be #2 and reed know this as long as Stewart is in the game

    • B stacy says:

What a joke !!!!!! creator1 you are a typical hater (reed fan) . after all the crap we have seen go down between these two guy’s. you hardly ever see stewart purposley take reed out or anybody for that matter!!! reed on the other hand is always ridin dirty. do i think bubba rides on the edge hell yes he does and thats what make him a bad mo fo and the fastest man on the planet!!!!!!!!! reed is good as well he just has the cocky attitude for nothing. all his victories seem to come when his competition gets hurt!!! and he has a big case of big head goin on. i was in vegas last year at the finals and watched reed go way out of his way to take stewart out. talk about a chicken $&%# move reed has a ton of them. anyway this site is for stewart fans so if you dont like the site its probably because it our site “bubba fans” not yours!!!!!!! bubba if you are reading this let em hate when there hating that means we still on top lmao.

James: since the 70s i have being watching motocross races and in the 80s i was a rider
as well and my heros were: Decoster y Hannah. I allways said that never again will be
2 riders like them and time after time i was happy to be rigth.
Then came Rycky and then came you to save an era that did not had true caliber heros.
As they say : ” you cant serve two lords”, my lord was Hannah back then and you are
    my lord now.
If you take your time now to heal ,in a responsable manner, you will be doing a big favor
not just to yourself but to the world of our sport which deserves the oportunity to see you
reaching the place that your superb talent can take you to.
Listen to reazon and take your time to heal ,and not just you is going to be ok: the world
of motocross is going to be ok as well.
Please give to us and yourself the chance to see the James Stewart story completelly.

    Hey James,

I hope you get healthy soon. I was headed to A-3 to see you, but I probably won’t go now because you’ll probably not be there.

What a season so far. It’s pretty clear you’re the real deal amongst the many posers out there.

I’m also wondering which Camaro Big James likes the best.

I’m waiting on Malcolm to come through to give you some back-up out there and to keep things alive.

So take care little brother, and as you know we’ve got your 6:00. Hope to see you out there soon, but no rush get healthy.

  36. YZ450F69 says:

    James,

I almost forgot to thank you for autographing my sons Stewart replica collectible at A1. We waited for almost 2hrs. after the race standing by your motorhome to get the thing signed and my son was so happy when you hit it up…thanks and take care of that wrist man.

  37. YZ450F69 says:

    Very well said rm125,

It makes me feel really sad when fans boo and say bad things about James, he’s just damn good at what he does and he is’nt any different then any other rider out there on the track besides for the color of his skin and his undeniable ability to ride a bike. I was at A1 and could not believe the reaction he got from the so called Supercross fans when he was introduced before the main. The last time I felt that bad was when the so called fans pulled the same crap on Jeremy McGrath. I really can’t see how anyone could claim to love the sport but show so much hate in so many different ways towards any of these professional riders.

  38. Cory Teeple says:

Hope you are doing well after surgery. Heal up fast Champ. God bless!
We will be waiting for your return.

From your true north fans FULL THROTTLE!!!

  39. Brandon says:

Hey James..just heard you had surgery yesterday hope things are going good. Its such a bummer now only getting to see you ride 3 races in 18 months. No nationals is really going to suck!!! See you in 2011 I suppose….

  40. Patty says:

Hey, James take care of yourself. Do what you need to do to get better and 100%. I will be waiting for your return. I will always be in your corner.

  41. ranks75 says:

James i’ve just heard the bad news that you’ve just had an operation to fix you’re broken wrist. I’m devastated!! I bet a lot of the other top riders will be happy that there main threat will be out for a while, as will the haters. Anyone who comes 3rd in a main supercross event with a broken wrist against the top boys in the sport that is mx is a ‘TRUE CHAMP’ in my eyes. Get well soon and come back and show the world the talent that is James Stewart.

  42. rm125 says:

BIG YAWN…Jeez people! We all enjoy living vicariously through our supercross hero, but please remember that we’re just spectators, fans, and admirers of James’ amazing speed and ability. For those who have used this blog as a forum to debate their personal ideologies on racial issues, please desist. James has fought long and hard to get where he is, and the Stewart family have shown class and determination to get to the top of a very tough sport.
It’s a good thing that Ryan Dungey is showing the kind of speed and talent at this level. Being a fan of James does not preclude me from recognizing the talent of any other rider…including Chad. It’s up to our champion to get well and regain the top spot.
