James Is On The Mend
James returned home to Florida to begin his post-surgery therapy immediately following his wrist procedure last week. Though he’s already feeling much better just five days into his recovery, he unfortunately will not be racing in San Diego this coming weekend.
This from James:
On Friday of last week we decided to get an MRI done on my wrist. The idea of possibly having surgery and missing some races was a tough pill to swallow, but I was in enough pain that I knew something needed to be fixed. The MRI showed a broken scaphoid bone in my right hand, which is not something that I could ride through any longer. I went into immediate surgery that same day to have it repaired, which my doctor and team felt was the only real option.
It’s been five days now since my surgery, and my wrist is already feeling a lot better! Right now I’m following my doctor’s orders so I can get back on the track racing as soon as possible. My plan is to be back out there just as soon as I can ride without pain. It was no fun racing Phoenix and Anaheim 2 this way! There’s not an exact date yet for when I can get back on the bike, but if progress continues as is, I hope to be back very soon.
Thanks to all of my true fans out there for the support!
