My name is André Sueiro Fernández and I am a student in the first year of Bachillerato at Álvaro Yáñez Secondary School in the Spanish town of Bembibre, León. (www.iesalvaroyanez.com) .
I am writing to you to let you know that, one more year, the students at this school, together with the Religion and the Philosophy teachers, D. Javier Sastre Santos ( National Identity Card: 45682333-D) and D. Carlos Cabezas Miranda (71270531-V), are carrying out, in collaboration with the Charity Association Cáritas Astorga, the operation “Estuche Solidario”(http://www.astorgamision.org/operacion-estuche-solidario/3-32-18-32.htm), whose main goal is to help provide education and schooling to a great number of African children from Kilela Balanda, a small village in the Democratic Republic of Congo, enabling them to enter school and basic education.
The project consists of collecting donations af all types (t-shirts, balls, sports material, etc.), which will be publically auctioned in our school. This event is given great relevance and publicity in the local media. With the money we obtain (in the schoolyear 2009-2010, we gathered the not inconsiderable sum of 590 euros and last year we couldn´t carry out the auction due to the lack of donations), each child will receive a box containing a cloth bag, several notebooks, a blackboard, a pencil, an eraser, a pen, a ruler and a box of crayons.
This schoolyear, we are planning to hold the auction in December, near Christmas´ time.
We hope that you will be so kind as to join and collaborate with us. Your help will give the children in Kilela Balanda an educational opportunity and a future that, without our help, they would probably never have.

James I am still a fan, and I was really proud to support you with the way you got back on your bike, and road like a beast. You still did that hectic jump after the crash, and you didnt let Ryan lap you. You hammered down hard and gave us a real treat to see how the old James used to ride. It seems the old James is back baby!
