2012 St. Louis Supercross: Post-Race Update

Round nine of the 2012 AMA Supercross Series from Edward Jones Dome is over and in the books, and James talks about his bad start and first-lap crash. Though not the result he was looking for, James was able to charge his way back up to a fifth-place finish when all was said and done, and he’s optimistic about a breakthrough win next weekend in Daytona.

WOW!!!!! The haters are actually the lovers.keep clicking on JS7 cause it just shows that Bubba is on your mind. Post whatever you want but just know one thing……..James Stewart is the most exciting, fearless rider the sport has ever seen. RC has said it himself other riders wont do what he does. there are winners and there are people that hate on them. Duke, the Patriots, the Yankees, the Heat and Bubba. Don’t focus on 8 races look at the total numbers. He has many years left

  2. I Miss Cliff says:

To the Fan of the Chosen One,

A great old man once told me that in a lifetime you can count your true friends on one hand. Cliff Claven held a place on my hand. Cliff is gone now. You Bubba lovers killed Cliff Claven in the same way a bullet to the head would have killed this great human being. You belittled him, you mimicked him, you cursed him and yes, you killed him!

I went to see Cliff at the home this morning. Gone are the stimulating conversations, the wit as sharp as a tack, gone is the Cliff that I came to know and love.

As I spoon fed this shell of a man, constantly wiping the drool mixed Cream of Wheat from his chin, I felt the tears pooling in my eyes. The once stimulating conversation has been replaced by pitiful statements such as “Bubba fall down” and “Want to play policeman?”

I hope your false idol takes the championship, I just don’t care anymore. It is a mere title that you worshipers of the anointed one covet so dearly. There is no comparison; a has been rider or my personal loss of a wonderful person. I knew Cliff Claven. You know an egoistical and arrogant excuse maker. I ask myself, who is the biggest loser?

    Gee Mr. Science

  3. Js7 ftw says:

I’m not a hundred percent sure of the stats on the haters posting on here, but js7 has been around for years and completely changed the game of supercross and motocross and proved that he can ride harder then anyone out there. Everyone else leaving negative comments on the other hand at best is probably a house league hero. So before you try and put down the guy who made supercross what it is, go ride a bike and see if you can do what he does. All the top guys deserve respect for doing what the rest of us can only dream of doing. Js7 can still win races and you bandwagon jumpers are trying to get in his head because you know if he starts in front of whoever has the number one plate, it’s over.

    • By far the dumbest post yet says:

Really, do you just say stupid shit? Changed SX and MX? Not hardly, well if you want to count that he never won the championships while RC was racing… Oh wait, I guess that’s why they call him the GOAT.

    • BUUBA FAN says:

Js7 ftw Im with you on this one. RC always talks about about how great bubba is,

Watch E60 James Stewart on you tube you will like RC’s Comments he said james is the fastest rider ever on 2 wheels

      • No he isn't says:

But he will never break RC’s records. And you can take that to the bank!

        • stone says:

Bubba scrub, fastest man ever to throw his leg over a motorcycle, first African American to accomplish this task, need he say or do more!!! Record smeckord, if the record holder tells the whole world that bubbe is the fastest man then that says a lot in itself.. #259 for life!

          • Record Smeckord says:

Oh boy we have the black smokers on here! If he was so great, then why aren’t RC’s and McGrath’s records in danger? Not from this fool!

  4. Pablo says:

James stop to play wid the toys let race and get the 1 place I see u daytona I want to be at the dinner hook me up

  5. Jaksan says:

Thank you for asking. I do not know that person. If you ask me about Thai Kick Boxing, Liverpool Soccer Club or AMA Super Cross, I’d be able to answer you.

  6. Dear: RV says:

    Dear RV

    From RV bandwagon Fan club

We just want to inform you that when Barcia moves up and beat’s you we are gonna have to jump on that bandwagon,
”Sorry” just saying we did it to bubba

  7. JS7 Fan says:

Hey James, don’t listen to all these idiots that are puttin you down. I am a huge fan, and always will be. Your true fans will always support you!! To all you haters, this site is for his fans, not for you morons to post rude messages. If you are not a fan of JS7, then get off his site. Go to the site of the rider you support. There is NO need to leave nasty messages on this site!! I’m so sick of reading things you haters post. It’s all garbage.. I think that all of you leaving hateful messages are pathetic and need to get a life! Grow up ppl!!

    • True Fans says:

As someone on here posted that they don’t have a problem with ending in third place. As a fan, you should be upset at mediocre results. After all, isn’t the idea to win a championship? Well, we have heard that from the kool aid fools on here.
Oh, there is something butternuts will win – the trophy for who crashes most!

    • BUBBA FAN says:

Im with you JS7 fan… Bubba is just having a string of bad luck. Same thing happened to CR and he came back.. The competition is so much harder now! The level and speed all these guys are riding at is insane, Its because of Stewart They have to ride at this level. Stewart created these fast monsters..

      • Red Coat says:

A string of dirt tasting, more like it. Wait, isn’t he the anointed one?

        • BUBBA FAN says:

Theres only one anointed one that’s Jesus Christ…Butt god blessed stewart with a lotta speed. If you dont like stewart go visit your favorite riders site…OOOh ya none of them have one..

          • Grammar Police says:

You should have something proofread your comments before you post them. There is room available in remedial English – we have a seat just for you!

          • Supreme says:

Well, since you are bringing up the subject of God (note uppercase), never has bubba once thanked him…BUT, RV, RD, and many others have… Just saying…

      • JS7 Fan says:

You said it right on Bubba Fan! Every rider has bad luck some times and have come back to win the championship. Where were the haters last year when RV didnt even make the main event? Did they say all this garbage to him? I doubt it, So why is everyone against JS7? As long as the true fans like us back him up then what the haters say doesn’t matter. All these jerks are doing is bringing more and more attention to JS7. So thanks haters for making him the most popular rider! He is by far one of the best riders in the world! If it wasn’t for JS7, the riders wouldn’t have to ride as fast as they do. He made the sport what it is today!

  8. Use this site for what is for says:

This site is not designed to talk about airplanes. It is here to threaten haters with bodily harm and to make excuses on the mediocre performance of Bubba! If you don’t have anything bad to say, then get off this site now!

    • Flying around says:

True, but they both do fly through the air, albeit in much different ways. So, I guess it could kinda sorta be related talk…but not for bubba, he is a lawn dart!

  9. The Irony of it All says:

Interesting qoute from the GOAT several years ago:

“Bubba (Stewart) was in front of me and I followed for a lap and a half and then made a clean inside pass on him. I heard his bike revving wide open and saw his fender coming closer and then suddenly he crashed. It can’t be fun to hit the mat as many times as he has this year. I think it comes down to learning to be patient.”

The sad thing is that still hasn’t learned…

  10. FYI says:

Now if you ever want to talk aircraft, well just call me Cliff.

    • F-4 Update says:

The F-4 Voodoo name is not to be confused with the offical Voodoo title of the F101. Since Kawasaki made the F-4EJ version justifies its inclusion on this site.

  11. Rhino Driver says:

The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a tandem two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor fighter/fighter-bomber originally developed for the United States Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. It first entered service in 1960 with the U.S. Navy. Proving highly adaptable, it was also adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, and by the mid-1960s had become a major part of their respective air wings.

The Phantom is a large fighter with a top speed of over Mach 2.2. It can carry over 18,000 pounds (8,400 kg) of weapons on nine external hardpoints, including air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, and various bombs. The F-4, like other interceptors of its time, was designed without an internal cannon, but later models incorporated a M61 Vulcan rotary cannon. Beginning in 1959, it set 15 world records, including an absolute speed record, and an absolute altitude record.

The F-4 was used extensively during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war. The Phantom has the distinction of being the last U.S. fighter flown to attain ace status in the 20th century. During the Vietnam War, the USAF had one pilot and two weapon systems officers (WSOs), and the US Navy one pilot and one radar intercept officer (RIO), achieve five aerial kills against other enemy fighter aircraft and become aces in air-to-air combat. The F-4 continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 in the U.S. Air Force; the Grumman F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy; and the F/A-18 in the U.S. Marine Corps.

The F-4 Phantom II remained in use by the U.S. in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel (suppression of enemy air defenses) roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996. It was also the only aircraft used by both U.S. flight demonstration teams: the USAF Thunderbirds (F-4E) and the US Navy Blue Angels (F-4J). The F-4 was also operated by the armed forces of 11 other nations. Israeli Phantoms saw extensive combat in several Arab–Israeli conflicts, while Iran used its large fleet of Phantoms in the Iran–Iraq War. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5,195 built, making it the most numerous American supersonic military aircraft.

    • FYI says:

The F-4 was unofficially known as the Voodoo. It had a very unique pitch from the engines. Fond memories of my USAF days before I became a SX star.

      • FYI says:

Now if you ever want to talk aircraft, I can talk Cliff Claven under the table.

      • The Ghost of Cliff Claven says:

Err, that was the F-101. Besides being the “Phantom”, it was called by some “Rhino” or maybe “Double Ugly.” Never heard it called Voodoo, that was reserved for the F-101… All info read on it and plus the info here on base never referred to that…know some former Rhino drivers here on base and had many talks with them and they never referred to it as that, too…

        The Ghost of Cliff Claven

        • Traditional site excuse says:

          Dear Sir,
I very well can be mistaken. I am aware of the F-101 Voodoo, an F-4 variant known as the Wild Weasel ect. CAUTION: EXCUSE CROSSING AHEAD. I’m going way back in time. This was when the F-106 Delta Dart Squadron was uploaded with nukes in the Alert Hangers. Thank you my friend for setting me straight as well as allowing me to pinpoint your local.

          • Common History says:

Well, thank you General for replying. An interesting bit is that you were CO of the 20th AF at the time my Grandfather was there in the CBI and the Mariannas.

          • F-4 History says:

The first use of the F-4 Phantom as a Wild Weasel was in Vietnam, and that was the F-4C. In the ’70s the F-4G came out, which was a dedicated Wild Weasal (SAM killer).

            Gotta love the Rhino!

  12. How about Delusional Disorder? says:

This is what the typical fan on this site suffers from:

Grandiose delusion or delusions of grandeur is principally a subtype of delusional disorder (GD) that can occur as a wide range of mental illness, including in two thirds of those in manic state of bipolar disorder, half those with schizophrenia and a substantial portion of those with substance abuse disorders.[1][2] GDs are characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, wealthy, or otherwise very powerful. The delusions are generally fantastic and typically have a supernatural, science-fictional, or religious theme. There is a relative lack of research into GD, in comparison to persecutory delusions and auditory hallucinations. About 10% of healthy people experience grandiose thoughts but do not meet full criteria for a diagnosis of GD.[2]

Grandiose delusions are distinct from grandiosity, in that the sufferer does not have insight into his loss of touch with reality.

In colloquial usage, one who overestimates one’s own abilities, talents, stature or situation is sometimes said to have ‘delusions of grandeur’. This is generally due to excessive pride, rather than any actual delusions.

  13. To Storey says:

It is my hope that the mother of the young man is no longer on this site. As much as you may think your Dr. Phil, I think your just a jerk or just another type of “mother” if you are smart enough to read between the lines. You post to that lady was entirely uncalled for Mr. Storey.

    • To Storey says:

You know Storey, I came on this site to give James a thumbs up for his efforts. You and your friend manchester are two class acts. Your type sickens me even more then your so called haters. My heart goes out to that poor lady. No Story, James has lost some races, but it’s you and your buddy manchester who are the losers here. Take this same advice your kind gives to the “haters” and get the hell off this site and leave it to the adults you bunch of wanabe punks. We as well as James don’t need your hateful ways.

  14. Stat Keeper says:

Any idea of how many time wonder bread hit the ground this year?

  15. mxer4eva says:

James just a thought. As I go back and read the comments that some of the Haters are saying I’m Shocked at how STUPID people really are!!! like saying your washed up. Really How many washed up riders are setting some of the fastest lap times week in and week out or win 7 of 9 heat races and have a main event win in 2012. I see it as this; People including CR22 wants to get into your head and tell you; You’re done, Hang it up, Washed up, can’t finish 20 laps. Really Last I check you had more wins than CR22. I remember when you slowed down so he could pass you just to show him he’s not on your level then pass him back. I say all that to really say this; People know if you figure out what ever funk your in right now that their favorite rider or riders themselves know you would put them in a world of hurt… They have not forgotten your perfect outdoor season and know you can do it. I just hope you have not forgot you can do it also. It just sucks that your bar is set so high than when you place 2nd,3rd or 5th it’s a failure, But if K-Dub,Brayton, Millsaps,Short,Weimer or Metcalf placed the exact same it would be considered a brilliant ride. So take everything in stride my dude. Know the unreal expectations on you and own them!!!! this is in no way any disrespect to RV2 or RD5 because those guys are ballin right now and can’t take anything away from them. It all comes down to WHO WANTS IT MORE!!!! PERIOD! DO WORK SON!!!

    • But says:

I would really rather play policeman then work. I just got this really cool set of hand cuffs and a billy club. I been checking out this riot gear kit on pretendcopper.com. Man, that is one neat set up. Anyway, I just got a call I need to respond to now.

      Officer JS7

    • Kool Aid for Sale says:

This guy is the tool of the century. One win! And a bunch of heat races…didn’t know they gave points for those… Does that explain 53 back? Keep on drinking that kool aid, you cherry soda you!

      • mxer4eva says:

Obviously your not a true fan of the sport. Tell me genius How many riders this year have a main event win??? So to say only one win is the dumbest comment of the day. All the other riders I mentioned haven’t won squat. but if they came from 18th to 5th you my friend would be on you knees suckn’ dick!!! so keep your Kool-aid comments to yourself it’s been played out since the 90′s.

        • @ poster mxer4eva says:

Thank you for your use of obscene language. My 9 year old son Jeff is a huge James Stewart Fan. After reading your post, I have had to stop my son from reading this site. Try to explain that to a boy his age. You call yourself a fan. Even at his young age he is more tolerant of other people and their opinions. At least your so called haters watch their language. I will say a prayer for you.

          Jeff’s Mother

          • Storey says:

Listen lady, go read some comments, some of these haters say some really nasty shit! Everyone needs to get over it, you have a kid so I will assume your an adult, I shouldnt assume but for the hell of it I will so let me learn you something Jeff’s mother, be a problem solver, for however you have to do that, I don’t care, don’t let little jeffrey On the Internet, it not really geared towards 9 yr olds anyhow…. Or use it as a lesson, “look Jeff, that is what not to do and say if you want people to respect you!” idk be a problem solver, life is a lot harder then this!!

        • Facts, Please says:

Stewart only has ONE win this season. Heat races don’t count toward point standings…

          • mxer4eva says:

@ Facts, Please Your such an idiot!!! man go ahead and take what I said out of contex just like fox news and MSNBC. but fact is you just made my point!!! Read my post again then speak with some brains. No where in there does it say heat race win counted for points!!! so if your just a hater state it!!! but dont miss quote me.

  16. An SX Observation says:

No word on when Stewart will start racing, but when he does, expect him to challenge for the win.

  17. Writer wanted. No experience needed says:

“Confident that a splash of good luck is somewhere in his near future, James is excited to return to his home-state race in Daytona next weekend, where he hopes to put his JGRMX Yamaha back on the top of the box.”

I think it must be a misprint. I think they meant to say “put his JGRMX Yamaha back in the box.”

  18. Gotta love the name Xandre says:

How many ways can the fat lady sing?

  21. mxer4eva says:

James, Im your biggest fan and I watched closely your start this week. Your reaction time was slow PERIOD. no bike problem. As soon as I saw that I told my wife thats it he just took himself out of it. Practice starts and starts alone and a podium if not a win is promised.

  22. Bye Bye Bubba says:

In simple mathmatical terms RV has won 56% of the races this season. The Golden Child has won 11% of the races, or in an easier to understand form for the common JS7 fan, 1

  23. Chad says:

We should all sit back and wonder how successful supercross would be without Stewart. Stewart brings a Tiger like mentality to Supercross that brings in the ticket sales and allows this sport to continue at larger turnouts every year. It is called drama in sports, if we did not have this kind of up and down racing no one would show up. The races would become tedious and one winner would not make it exciting. Did anyone see the Giants winning the Superbowl this year? Without Stewart wether he is winning or not would substantially bring ticket sales down. No matter how you look at any situation everything is a Business.

  24. Xandre d says:

I KNOW YOU RIDE THE WAY YOU RIDE AND I WATCH YOU ON SAT IT LOOKS LIKE YOU JUST NEED TO RIDE WITH THE REFLEX NOT UR MIND REACT TO EVERYTHING AND I KNOW U BE FINE AND BOOST UR SWAG AND CONFIDENCE LEVEL BRO YOU JAMES STEWART FASTEST MAN ON TWO WHEELS BE THE KING AGAIN AND RULE THE TRACK BRO LOOK FORWARD WATCHING YOU ON SAT AND HAVE FUN BRO

  25. Brian says:

Hey I know that repeat failure really hurts the mentality for being sucessfull but dont keep digging the hole. Sometimes we find ourselfs trying so hard that we make stupid mistakes and stop focusing on the real reason that we are here. You need to go back to the old James and just have fun……….everything seems to be so serious with you anymore…….Stop caring about points, stop caring about podiums, and stop caring about wins! Just go out there and have fun and ride like we all know you still can! You are beating yourself before you leave the line and thats not like the james we know.

  26. A Progressive Fan says:

    Mr. Stewart,
I have watched your races this season and I feel my company may be able to help you. Please contact me for your obvious motorcycle insurance needs.
    Sincerely,

  27. Mathuz25 says:

James you need to work on your starts more than anything you are getting killed off the line. Please go home and practice your starts for all your fans if not for yourself PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

  28. Bob says:

    quit f*ing blowing it!

  29. Stewart the Educator says:

In an attempt to hone the math skills of his fan base, James Stewart is currenty instructing the use of negative numbers in our society. He refers to examples such as -44 one week and -53 the next. The fans are filled with excitement as they await next weeks continuing course in negative numbers.

  31. Hysterical Fact says:

The fans on here will say the previous post is a lie!

  32. Historical Fact says:

Ricky Charmichael (aka The Goat), won EVERY championship that he competed in while in the premier class. Including two perfect outdoor seasons, something no one else has ever done. All this is something Stewart will never do. EVER.

  33. Mike Hunt says:

Imagine, if you will, a world where bubba, the self-proclaimed fastest man on the planet, finishes every race but can do no better than third*. Oh wait, that is this world!

    *Due to Reed’s injury.

    Reality hurts, doesn’t it?

  34. Jaksan says:

100% with you James,do your best, your fan in Thailand.

  35. Todd says:

James you looked fast, fast out there…just those bad starts are getting you. But hell….you are riding against the best in the world and the competition has gotten faster in the last few years with RV and RD coming along. Just ride your race…do the best you can and that’s ALL anyone can ask of you. You are still the fastest guy out there and everyone knows that! Good Luck next week at Daytona.

  36. Buck Wheat says:

Still with you James. I love to watch you ride. Good luck in Daytona.

  37. -53 says:

Is it too late for bubba to change his number to -53?

I doesn’t matter what he does. The fat lady has sung.

  40. Lewis Hamilton says:

I feel your pain bro and I love watching you! I had the same last year when everyone kept going on about my off track stuff! Don’t worry about holeshots just make the 1st turn in the top 3 and build from there! Maybe a change up on the machinery for 2013 to get the old feeling going again! Otherwise come and watch me this year I’m going to rip it up.

  41. Chad says:

Why do you think next week will be any different ? Put your cop lights on your bike and maybe they’ll get out of your way. Your dad said not to fall down any more.

  42. J. Pinner says:

James keep your head up Bruh, all you need is a start and to stay up and RV and that Kawi will start sweating! I still have faith in you and be thankful that you still have your health and a promising career. Give it 1000% in Daytona and whoop some Arse LOL!

  43. Eastpats67 says:

Stewart you are one of my favorite riders and i love watching you race but if you want to ever ditch the track and hit some woods check out Todt’s farm on facebook

  44. NY Kawi says:

Stewart! Get the hell off that blue bike! Look at reed, he didn’t do crap on that thing and now he was a title contender. Should’ve stayed green! Or anything else but blue.

  45. Thomas says:

keep workin hard james i wanan see u back on top i cant stand Rv winning i know you can do it

  46. Yo Mayne says:

I’m going to lay off on the bs and keep it real. Your weakness this year has been your hole shots. Improve on your hole shots and you will be back on top, otherwise, it will continue to be the RV show. At least you’re still healthy. Count your blessings and keep ya head up! You’ll be back in the winner’s circle again.
