2013 Phoenix Supercross: Post-Race Update

A seventh place in Phoenix wasn’t on James’ wish list approaching the 2013 AMA Supercross series, but given the circumstances (a bum knee and frigid temps), the mighty number seven kept expectations in check as he cruised in for a safe and conservative finish. Less than stoked on the end result, however, look for James to come out swinging next weekend at Anaheim 2. Until then, here’s what the Red Bull-backed Suzuki pilot had to say about his night in AZ…

Great riding in Phoenix. Stay focused and patient, protect your points while letting that knee heals. You’ve been riding smart these last two rounds. Keep this up and I’m sure you will be right there at the end positioned to win the title. Good luck!

  2. Craig says:

Oh well, so now you just have to ride perfectly smart and fast for the rest of the season to win the title. And you and your team can do it Champ. How awesome will that be when you get it done?!.

Great job Champ with the hurt knee and all. Wear warmer gear or something. You’re a warm weather guy man. Hope the knee feels better soon so you can practice and stay crispy.

  11. Chad says:

Thanks for not taking out any riders.

  12. Jeff says:

Your right where you need to be James. Thank you so much for racing. Every weekend is so exciting for me to watch you in hoping you can do the best you can do. Watching you race helps break up the day to day mundane life that most poor and slow local weekend riders have to live…lol. I know you have the speed, just let it come to you and eventually you will show these guys once and for all why you were the only one that was able to race with RC. Can’t wait for next Saturday.
    Peace Out Dude!

  13. Courtney says:

Great job James I know you are riding hurt but this time you are riding smart. Just keep in the game and continue to get those points. Then when your knee feels right go kick some ass.

Love how you are riding this season !!!!
