FRUSTRATING 12TH FOR JS7 AT ANAHEIM 2

Content to save his best for the night show, James started his day with a somewhat conservative practice approach, but still managed to qualify in the third spot behind Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey. Placed into the stacked 450SX heat number two, JS7 got a solid jump out of the gate, and moved his way into second place early on. With leader Ryan Villopoto already sitting on a comfortable lead, James focused on smooth, consistent laps, and cruised in for a solid second-place finish.

After starting outside the top-10, James began a charge toward the front of the pack before getting momentarily derailed by a tangle with Josh Grant. Back on track and picking up speed, JS7 began working his way forward once again, but unfortunately slid out in a corner and dropped to the back of the pack. Picking off as many riders as possible during the remaining laps, Stewart eventually crossed the checkers in 12th place.

“I felt way more confident on the bike today than I have the last two races, so to finish the night like this is a huge disappointment,” James said after the race. “I really like Oakland, though, so I’m confident that we’ll get this thing turned around next weekend.”

3. Chad Reed
4. Davi Millsaps

Kick some ass this weekend James! Your riding style and speed is impeccable! Go show all those guys you can beat them without an ACL. Your awesome, I know you can do it!

    James,

I have been following motocross since the mid 70’s and dabbled in the sport as a youth. I commend you on your positive attitude, competitive spirit and desire to succeed even when injured. I acknowledge that the sport has changed. All successful competitors are pushing the limits with respect to fitness, technology and risk during the races. You are undoubtedly working very hard. Keep it up and thanks for the inspiration.

Everyone should be thanking James even if he comes dead last, he has revolutionised (is that even a word haha)
The sport does anybody remember the “BUBBA SCRUB” that is the ONLY thing that kept him in front of the pack and it was only a matter of time before everyone else caught onto it..
So once again THANKYOU James for making our sport so close and exciting.

First or last you are still one of the greatest of all times, you have won a couple championships and gone undefeated in motocross so keep scrubbing and stay on two wheels.

    • Jeff says:

Nice comment but James did not win races because of the bubba scrub. It helped him no doubt but he also happens to be carrying
a lot more speed around the corners than most riders.

  10. Andy A says:

James-nobody has ever ridden a bike like you have…we are waiting for you to recall that God given talent and for you to remember who you are. I know it’s in you, I’m just waiting for you to put this phase in your life behind you and to get it on. Remember who you are, get the groove back and add a touch of confidence! You will be unstoppable…again…injury or no injury. Do it!

Hey James or dude who runs this website.
    Hope you see this James
first id just like to say all these people who go on about that your slow and not fast anymore are utterly silly… yes you people are silly. I know your still championship contender 4 sure! its obvious.
I have been watching allot of videos of you recently and it seems like the pressure of winning the championship isn’t as important as it should be, and your determination for winning has lessened. Maybe I’m wrong its just how I see it.
I remember your riding style when you were hungry for the win and had something to prove, even though your wealthy now ur still racing and u need to get the aggression back and smoke villy!
There is no body else in the 450s I believe, has a match for the hungry aggressive James Stewart not even villy, chad or bam bam etc.
we will see you win races this season I know for sure and when u evaluate you’re race ull relies what I’m talking about, u have a naturally lose fast riding style so be lose.
u just need that passion for winning again and ull be sweet as.
although i probably sound like another crazy fan, i don’t consider myself one. I am just hugely influenced by you and respect where you’ve come from, and how fasssst you really are hahaha
Shot James, for everything. uve inspired me push myself down here in New Zealand to win several mx titles juniour and now seniour, and i just wanna see my man james back on top where he should be.
Cant wait to hopefully one day see you race live and possibly meet you in the pits.
Show the world that u still are the fastest man on a motor bike, I know you are prove to the amo haters haha
    PEACE JIMMY 8)

James had better do something soon. He is making everyone else on the track look fast. You should get your knee fixed, sit out for a year and open up a spot for someone else this year. Your career is beginning to read like a “James who?” with the results the past 2-3 years. The reality of it is you just aren’t that fast any longer. Not even close the first 3 races. Honestly, you are beginning to get in everyone’s way out there and you are (were) better than that.

  13. H-Man says:

Good luck in the oak town.

  14. bigheadj says:

James, I’ve been a fan for a long time and hope you continue in the sport for at least a few more years but I have to agree with Les, I would rather see you at 100% Lets go back to 2008 when you had your ACL reconstructed(Same month and knee as mine)and you came back to run the table in the outdoors. I know nobody likes to go through surgery and rehab but Bruh your waaaaaay better than 12th place!!!! I will always be fan but I’d rather see you at 100% and giving RV hell at the front.

  15. Les says:

Honestly I’m a huge fan but I would rather see you get the surgery and be 100%. It stinks I know because all your fans couldn’t wait to see you race since you got hurt in the outdoors. But only you know how you feel. If you feel like to can be competitive then keep at it. I know you didn’t ask my advice so I won’t charge for this! LOL

  16. jojo says:

hey james.. i think ur old in the sport.. u cant win anymore.. better retire..

  17. Chad says:

My prediction is after about 4 more races (impossible points scenario), he’ll throw in the towel and do the surgery.
