FRUSTRATIONS CONTINUE AT OAKLAND SX
With two previous wins under his belt inside the Oakland Coliseum, James headed into round four of the 2013 AMA Supercross series feeling good, and kicked off his day exactly where he left off at last year’s event—on top of the leader board.
Despite a small get-off in practice, James entered his heat race ready to do some damage, but unfortunately a bad start left him with some serious work to do. After several quick passes, JS7 found himself in second behind early leader Ryan Villopoto within just a few laps. With a large gap already separating the two riders, however, James played it safe and finished out the heat in the second spot.

Shortly after the gate dropped for the 450SX main event, bad luck would once again strike the number 7, as a second-turn pile-up collected multiple riders, including him. Slowly remounting his Red Bull-backed Yoshimura Suzuki, James would only complete one full lap before pulling off the track with a mechanical problem.
“It’s been a rough seasons so far,” James commented at the end of the night. “The first four races have been pretty frustrating, but I’m not gonna quite!”
The incident resulted in a DNF (19th) for James, and he’ll now roll into round five next weekend in Anaheim sitting in 11th place in the championship standings.

Like my Grandmother used to say, sometimes you have to go though thing in order to get out, and realize and appreciate the full extent of what has been ordained for you! Test of your will happens in life, it is how you respond to those challenges that show your true character…. Stay grounded and keep the faith man! Bad days don’t last forever!!! Keep pushing through this slump, until you see the silver lining on the other side!!! As they say every dog has his day and every good dog has two!!! Hang tough JS7…. roll with the punches and keep fighting boss! Keep riding smart… and keep CH22 and JG33 in your rear view as much as possible for good measure!!
Hang in there James! You are the fastest guy in SX, the practice times tell it and at Oakland you were smoking fast. Keep the faith and never give up and you will be on top of the podium soon.
You have a bunch if guys pulling for you on Long ilsand, NY!
James Hang in there, You know you got it, everyone knows you have it. sometimes you have to slow down to go faster. it will come, I really don’t want to watch villipoto dominate
the whole season. when i know you are faster, nothing against him. just don’t give it to him.
don’t get down on yourself. don’t Quit ever. i saw the frustration in you at Oakland. i know you
are prob your worst enemy. so that one is easy to overcome. focus on making clean trouble free
laps. work on clean starts. so much easier to finish a race if you stay off the ground. plus feels a lot better on a banged up body. I believe in you everyone is waiting on bubba to come back.
and most important thing HAVE FUN.
