ACTION-PACKED 4TH FOR JS7 AT SAN DIEGO SX

Round six of the 2013 AMA Supercross series went down on Saturday night inside San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, and James entered the event looking to improve on his series-best fourth-place finish from one week ago in Anaheim (A3). Confident and determined to get his Red Bull-backed Yoshimura Suzuki up on the box before the series heads east next weekend, JS7 was looking the goods all day long inside the home of the Chargers, and even posted the quickest lap time of the day during the 450SX practice sessions.

When night fell over the 55,000 fans in attendance and the racing program got underway, James made his intentions immediately clear as he battled his way passed Davi Millsaps to take the first 450SX heat race win of the evening.

“The track out there is pretty one-lined, so passing is going to be tough tonight,” James commented after the heat. “Davi was riding great, so I had to get a little bit aggressive to get out front. A good start is gonna be key in the main event as always.”

Unfortunately for James, a good start would once again escape him when the gate dropped for the premier-class finale, and he found himself battling just inside the top-ten as the pack crossed the line to complete the first of 20 main event laps. With Millsaps grabbing the holeshot and riding a clean, traffic-free track out front, JS7 locked into a battle with the likes of Ryan Villopto and Chad Reed, as the championship favorites raced their way toward the leaders. After some back and forth passes and a massive save in the whoops, James eventually established himself in the fourth spot where he’d later cross the checkers just behind Millsaps, Justin Barcia, and Ryan Dungey.

“That was a pretty crazy race,” James said at the end of the night. “I made some good passes, but then got passed back while trying to get by other guys. I collided with some lappers, and then had a huge save in the whoops. Overall it was a pretty exciting fourth, but that’s obviously not where I want to be. I’m looking forward to heading back east now and hopefully getting some wins under my belt.”

Once again, no podium. As our friend, moto girl Courtney said, the only reason he was that close is due to other riders crashing. Tell us, you morons, what is the excuse this time?

    • Jason says:

You are a pathetic loser. First you come on here and pretend to be “Courtney” at 7:25pm. Then you come on again a few minutes later at 7:29pm under another stupid screen name and start quoting yourself. What an idiot. You’re not fooling anyone. There’s only one jerk on here posting crap about James and it’s you. Get a life.

  5. Courtney says:

The only way he was near the front is because those faster crashed… Face it, the bobble headed dumpster fire is washed up.

  6. Roni says:

Way to go Stewart ! I know it’s hard competing with a bad knee but you are doing good. I just want to give you MUCH credit for doing what you feel you have to do and not mention the torn ACL. I know as well as any fair minded person know that’s the reason you are riding like you are. Reed torn his ACL and did not race until it was repaired BUT LIKE YOU SAID, YOU ARE TREATED DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER RIDERS AND THAT’S TOTALLY OBVIOUS. Just no that your fans and true fans are behind you 100% win or lose.. See you in Dallas and Houston and tell your dad, ( 1 Adam 12 ) said hello.

  9. Courtney says:

Great race James once again you pulled it of and came in fourth. I hope you are able to get some more practce time in this week. You will be on that podium soon as I see you getting better every week. I can not wait to see you in Dallas will be there to cheer my favorite rider.
Keep up the hard work I love seeing you out there !!!

James Stewart Fan for Life !!!
